A bit late in starting due to the assembly and House assembly. However, we did manage to get quite a lot of work done.
The difference between heat (energy) and temperature (a measure of how hot or cold something is ) was established.
We then went on to find the specific heat capacity of water - and it was higher than we expected due to the heat loss to the surroundings.
The equation for the day is E = c x m x change in temperature.
More experiments next lesson.
Assessment on the horizon covering all of Unit 1 so can I suggest you start revising now.
Any questions please ask
Mrs M :-)
